Texture?

Why did I call those images, published a few days ago, "texture"?

Because they each embody some explicit aspects of texture that have been interesting to me.

For example, there are two textures juxtaposed in this image. The background is crumpled paper. The foreground stickers are first stripes "cut" from an oil painting that I bought from a local artist and second some doodles that have been rendered using a texture from the same oil painting.

The following three textures were used.
