Working Space by Frank Stella (1986).
This is a beautiful book. I only found it recently.
Stella addresses the issue of "Abstraction" in great depth.
You don't need to appreciate his work to find his arguments persuasive.
My efforts to understand Stella have previously been by means of trying to create images in his style (see left, and earlier post).
The book is a better way.
