The component parts of this image are based on the same curvilinear grid, coloured using an algorithm that makes for a three dimensional impression.
The colours are monochrome shades between black and white. The lower component has black where the upper has white, and vice-versa.
Each component has an organic appearance which was the impression I was trying to achieve. Still considering whether they should be arranged vertically or horizontally, and whether they should be hinged.
